SHY is probably best known for its market leading Zip Screen range of blinds using a zip welded to the edge of the fabric so the fabric runs in the side channels of the blind but will not pull free. Zip Screen blinds are available in dim-out, screen, translucent of insect screen fabrics. In total Zip Screen is made in 5 headbox sizes, with six operating methods up to a maximum width of 6m and a drop of 10m. Sunfacta roller systems are ideal for shading large or small areas. A headbox fully encloses the roller and the operating mechanism. All types of cloths can be used on Sunfacta systems which have five headbox sizes, five operating methods and can be used for blinds up to 5.2m wide and 12.6m drop. Obscura looks like a standard roller blind but that is where the similarity ends. Clever features like counter-balancing springs to make it as easy to raise the blind as lower it and brackets for every conceivable situation make this a versatile system. Obscura is available in 9 barrel sizes and five operating methods on blinds up to a width of 6.8m and a drop of 13m. Zip Screen, Sunfacta and Obscura can all be made in twin systems (two blinds in one) as well as sloping, lifting, horizontal, pitched as well as shaped variants. In terms of fabrics SHY’s Solarblock range includes black-out and dim-out fabrics and its Solarscene range screen materials. SHY’s fabric selector cards includes all performance data in easy to read graphical format and for Solarscene fabrics even include pictures showing the view to the outside and the view to the inside for each colour of each cloth in the range.
