Blunsdon Blinds Ltd is a family run business, in the true sense of the term ‘Family Run’. I have been in the shutters and blinds industry for over 7 years, initially working for one of the major shutters, blinds & curtain companies in the UK. My wife Zoë was looking for a new challenge and torn between becoming a full-time teaching assistant or having a complete change of direction. 

When the country went into the first lockdown, we decided that we were confident we could provide a higher quality of service, with the same products, for a more competitive price to the people of Swindon and the surrounding area. This was the birth of Blunsdon Blinds for our family in 2020.

When the 2020 lockdown ended, we decided to go into partnership with SCraft (Shuttercraft). SCraft are a major player in the shutter & blinds industry and supply us with the same quality products as the UK’s biggest shutter & blinds companies.

In July 2021, Zoë made the final decision to leave her career as a teaching assistant and come on board with Blunsdon Blinds, who had now become a Limited Company. Zoë’s role is not only a Director, but also organises the day-to-day running of the company.

Throughout the holidays, our two children also help by unpacking the boxes, organising the blinds into the correct rooms and helping to tidy up. They often come down to the lock up and help sort out the weekly deliveries into customers to make the loading up easier for me.

Over the last 12 months Miles has come on board. He is currently undergoing training to become an installer and has almost competed this phase. Miles is a hardworking perfectionist and brings great energy to the working day and to the company. Miles and I have been friends for over 5 years, and we feel like he is part of our family.

Since the start of Blunsdon Blinds, we have strived for perfection in all that we do. Last year we were accepted, initially, as Accredited Members with the BBSA (British Blinds and Shutters Association). With effect from March 2023, we will become Full Members.

Another feather in our caps, which we achieved in 2022, was to be awarded the prestigious title of The Guild of Master Craftsmen. This demonstrates not only the hard work, commitment to perfection and determination to provide the best possible service to all our customers but also to demonstrate the level of workmanship provided by the installation team.

We can use the terms ‘experienced, professional, specialists & qualified’ with sincerity as they are all true of our company & our team.
