WindowTreat

WindowTreat is the trading name of Glazing Protection Systems Limited, based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. We specialise in one problem: glass that lets in too much sun, too much heat, or too little privacy. Founders Steve and Chris built the business around fixing this properly, not papering over it, for homes and commercial buildings across England.

Electric Blinds. Motorised blinds for the glazing everyone else struggles with: roof lanterns, bifold doors, skylights, awkward angles and shaped panes. Precise control over light and heat, with smart home integration for those who want it fully automated.

Electric Awnings. Outdoor shading that keeps rooms cooler and gardens usable for longer. Fitted with premium fabrics and reliable motorisation, built to handle British weather rather than just look good on a sunny day.

Blindspace. A concealed blind system that hides the mechanism inside the architecture itself. No visible track, no bulky housing. Ideal for new builds and extensions where a clean sightline matters as much as the shading does.

3M Window Film. Solar control, privacy and safety film for glazing that's already in place. No structural work, no scaffolding, just a genuine improvement in comfort and, where needed, security.

We only work with brands that earn their place: Somfy, Blindspace, Serge Ferrari and 3M. No unbranded components, no compromises hidden behind a low price.

What sets us apart is timing. Most shading gets bolted on at the end of a project, once the overheating or glare problem has already shown up. We call our approach the SHADE Process: bringing shading into the conversation from day one, alongside the architect and the glazing plan, rather than as an afterthought. It's the difference between designing a room properly and firefighting it later.

We also believe in informed customers. Our Learning Centre exists so people can understand their options, compare products honestly, and ask better questions before they spend anything, whether that's with us or someone else.

WindowTreat covers both residential projects (extensions, renovations, new-build homes) and commercial and architectural work, with every installation personally overseen by Steve and Chris rather than handed off down a chain of subcontractors. Every system we fit is guaranteed.

Based at Worting House, Church Lane, Basingstoke, we install England-wide, with particular strength across Southern England and the Home Counties, including Hampshire, Surrey, and Berkshire.
