Commercial Skylight Shutters

An eye-catching solution for tricky pieces of glazing.

Design

These shutters let you control the light and minimise the amount of glare coming through skylights and, because shutters are designed to fit the space, they are a great solution for out of the way windows that are harder to reach. Being installed at angles also makes most types of blinds unsuitable for skylights, so shutters are an obvious alternative.

Skylights are designed to make the most of natural light in a space, so getting shutters to match is important, especially if you want your business to remain on brand. Different louvre sizes and tilt mechanisms will also affect the appearance of the shutters.

Shutters can be installed either inside or outside the recess, with options also available for installation directly onto the window itself.

Operation

Crafted from versatile materials, including lightweight yet robust hardwood, skylight shutters can be operated via:

  • Louvre operation methods such as silent tilt
  • Automation and remote control options
  • Roof catches and magnets mean the panels stay in place
  • Specially designed tilting poles available from some suppliers

Comfort and energy saving

Skylight shutters help improve the energy saving qualities of a business, providing a layer between the interior and window that provides a degree of thermal insulation. This will help keep your overhead costs down in both the summer and winter months.
