Design
Use of external roller blinds on existing buildings can provide an energy efficient, highly functional and cost-effective shading solution, however it’s always best to incorporate blinds from the initial stages of design.
They can also be used for design purposes, providing a fantastic space to display branding. A wide range of colours and fabrics are available.
Operation
The blinds can be manually operated by tracing the operating rod through the building. More frequently the blinds are operated via motorisation as part of a building’s management control system. The blinds should be designed into the building structure to benefit from considerable savings in installation costs.

Comfort and energy saving
External roller blinds provide a high degree of protection against solar heat and glare, reducing the primary air conditioning load or the need for air conditioning in the summer. During the winter they retain heat within the building. Therefore, the savings in energy costs can be substantial.
