Commercial Vertical Blinds
Perfect for larger areas of glazing.
Design
An extensive range of fabrics are available including plains, prints, jacquard and heat reflective materials. Solid and perforated PVC, aluminium and even wood slats are also available.
Vertical blinds consist of strips of fabric – or other material – that are suspended from an aluminium track.
They can be used for all window sizes but are ideal for large glazing, patio doors or to cover a number of windows with one blind making them perfect for separating internal and external areas. The louvres can be stacked either side of the opening or just to one side.
Operation
A cord is usually used to traverse the louvres and a chain used to tilt them. Alternatively, a child-safe wand attached to the first louvre can be used to simply pull or push the blind into place.
Motorisation is also an option.
Window blind safety
The BBSA recommends using blinds which do not contain operating cords or chains, or which have concealed tensioned cords. These products are ‘safe by design’ and are widely available. For more information visit www.makeitsafe.org.uk.
Comfort and energy saving
The louvres or slats of the blinds can be tilted to control the light entering the room or can be fully closed for privacy. This level of control makes vertical blinds a very popular blind style.
Heat reflective treatments can be added to help keep your business cool. For more information contact your local BBSA member.
