Commercial Internal Roller Blinds

Suitable for all types of glazing.

Design

Solar protective coatings can be applied and there are flame retardant options too, while opaque fabrics are available to provide dim-out qualities.

Screen or mesh fabrics can be used for increased privacy and glare control, while retaining a view outside during daylight hours. A wide range of colours and designs are also available, as well as various finishing shapes and braids and pulls.

Rollers can be used to display your business branding and can be fitted as standard – visible when rolled up – or in a cassette – semi or fully hidden in a blind box.

Operation

A wide range of mechanisms are available, including motorisation, which ensures they are child safe by design. These include:

  • Spring operation – some systems have spring decelerators, so the blind retracts in a slow and controlled way
  • Chain – fitted to the side of the blind with safety devices
  • Push/pull – where the blind uses clever spring technology to hold the blind in position so it can be simply moved to the desired position by pushing or pulling the bottom bar
  • Gear – with a fixed or removable winding handle
  • Motor – mains voltage, low voltage and battery operated with automation via sensors and digital assistants.

Window blind safety

The BBSA recommends using blinds which do not contain operating cords or chains, or which have concealed tensioned cords. These products are ‘safe by design’ and are widely available. Visit www.makeitsafe.org.uk.
