Design
An extensive range of colours and patterns are available for your folding arm awning. Thanks to various coatings, most folding arm awning fabrics are acrylic and resistant to UV, water, mould and dirt.
Operation
Folding arm awnings are extended with a winding handle fitted to a gearbox on either side or via motorisation.
The operating arms of the awning extend outwards and tension the fabric. When retracted, they take-up a small amount of space and can be housed in a cassette.
Some models incorporate a sun sensor which will automatically extend the patio awning to protect your home from overheating, while a wind sensor will retract the patio awning automatically when the wind becomes too strong, protecting it from potential damage. These additions will ensure that your awning and its fabric last longer.
When retracted to the fully closed position, they take up a small amount of space. They can be hidden and protected from the elements in a full-cassette which neatly conceals the arms and fabric.
Comfort and energy saving
These awnings reduce heat build up and protect contents from UV rays. Beyond restaurants and cafés, they can also be used on other commercial buildings.
