About BBSA
The Association takes a leading role to ensure high standards of product, service and fair trading throughout the trade. Each member must adhere to a Code of Practice and is kept updated with changes to standards, requirements and best practice via regular communications.
The BBSA is the single largest source of information covering the solar shading industry and the sections of this website will demonstrate the benefits of the products the industry offers along with the advantages of using a BBSA member.

The European Solar Shading Organisation (ES-SO)
ES-SO is the umbrella organisation of the professional solar shading associations in Europe and with affiliations on a global scale.
While the solar shading industry in Europe consists typically of small to medium-sized companies, it employs more than 400,000 people across Europe and generates annual sales of over €15 billion.
The UK Green Building Council (UK-GBC)
UK-GBC is an industry-led network with a mission to radically improve the sustainability of the built environment.
A charity with over 400 member organisations spanning the entire value chain, UK-GBC represents the voice of the industry’s current and future leaders who are striving for transformational change.
Good Homes Alliance (GHA)
The Good Homes Alliance was established in 2007 and now has over 70 members that include, architects, planners, developers, universities, local authorities, urban designers, consultants, building professionals, trade associations and suppliers.
GHA aim is to promote and encourage the building of quality sustainable homes and communities and to transform the whole of mainstream UK house building into a sustainable endeavour.
