Design
A broad range of colours and patterns are available for terrace awnings and, thanks to various coatings, most of the available fabrics are acrylic and resistant to UV, water, mould and dirt. Branding options can often be incorporated for businesses.
Simple terrace awnings offer refuge from sunlight but would need to be retracted in windy weather, whereas more permanent structures are able to withstand such conditions and can be fitted with retractable canopies which can be deployed for protection from the elements.
Operation
Terrace awnings can be operated either via motorisation or manually. A cassette box can often be fitted to house the fabric when retracted.
Comfort and energy saving
