Design
Feature pieces of glazing are sure to impress your clients, but having an unusually shaped window doesn’t mean you don’t have to go without shading.
Shaped glazing requires shaped blinds and there is a fantastic range of options available in terms of blind styles, materials and operation methods. Shaped blinds are also known as angled blinds.
- Circular, semi-circular or quadrant glazing can be shaded using cellular, pleated, roller or Venetian blinds.
- Triangular glazing can be shaded using cellular, pleated, roller or Venetian blinds.
- Sloped glazing can be shaded using Venetian or vertical blinds.
- Arched windows can be shaded by roller, Venetian or vertical blinds.
- Curved windows can be shaded with vertical blinds.
As shaped glazing involves expert measuring, manufacturing and fitting, the best option would be to use a BBSA member who specialises in this field.
Operation
Most types of shading can be operated via motorisation. This is especially relevant if your shaped shading is in a hard-to-reach place or an area with high levels of occupancy which can make it hard to get to.
Window blind safety
