Residential Tracked Shutters
Ideal for shading large windows or as a room divider.
Design
As the name suggests, a track system is used to open and close the shutters which means they can concertina to one side – or either side – of the window, rather than open out into your space.
They can also be used as a room divider boosting the versatility of your space. When used on by-pass tracks they’re a stylish and flexible alternative to wardrobe doors, while the bi-fold system means they can be used as a divider for en-suite bathrooms.
Operation
Tracked shutters slide along either a top track (where a track is placed along the top of the shutters) or a top and bottom track.
Using a tracking system such as this means that large areas can be shaded. The panels can concertina to either side totally or both sides in even numbers meaning they work well with bi-fold doors.
The louvres of the shutters can be tilted either manually or via motorisation.
Comfort and energy saving
Shutters help improve a home’s energy saving qualities, providing a layer between the interior and window that provides a degree of thermal insulation. Tilting the louvres allows you to control how much natural light is allowed in and how much privacy you have.
