Commercial Panel Blinds
Ideal for shading or used as room dividers in large spaces.
Design
Similar in style to vertical blinds, the width and number of panels is determined by the size of your windows. You can choose to have the panels stacking to one side of the opening or to both sides, giving the impression of a pair of curtains.
The panels stack one in front of each other when the blind is retracted and overlap slightly when drawn to ensure there are no light gaps.
Panels are made using a stiffened fabric and a wide range is available to suit any style and branding. Plains or patterns and translucent or dim-out are just some of the options while you can add your own finishing touches with different braids.
Operation
Panel blinds can be operated by a chain at the side of the blind or with a child safe wand operation. This is where a wand attached to the first panel simply allows you to move the blind into place. Motorisation is also an option.
Window blind safety
The BBSA recommends using blinds which do not contain operating cords or chains, or which have concealed tensioned cords. These products are ‘safe by design’ and are widely available. For more information visit www.makeitsafe.org.uk.
